Academic Support
Collaboration with Center for Academic Success
FOCUS is a program of the Learning Commons. FOCUS was launched in Fall 2015 in collaboration with the Center for Academic Success. Undergraduates who have done well in multiple core courses are present in the Learning Commons from Monday through Thursday evenings, 7-9PM, to help students learn from their core courses. It's like an open office hour hosted by students, for students. FOCUS leaders can help with homework, test review, or just concept review, depending on the student's needs (See below picture for times, tutors, and classes covered this semester).
We also collaborate with Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL)
Through our partnership with CTL, we are able to offer PLUS leaders for some of our BME courses.
PLUS sessions are more structured, held for an hour usually twice a week. PLUS leaders attend lectures and create problems for students to work on in small groups to help them master the material. PLUS leaders help students when they get stuck and go over answers together at the end.

We have over dozens of videos prepared by our very own professors and students on various BME topics! Be sure to check out this channel and don't forget to subscribe!
